The age old argument of whether or not we should legalise the escort business here in the UK is never far away. Working girls are usually brought back into the spotlight when a sex related crime rears its ugly head. Milford police and the nearby Stratford police were engaged in a 2 month operation that must have used up considerable manpower and the associated wage bill.

They managed to fool 7 local men and charged them with the shameful crime of ‘patronizing a Prostitute’. These chaps had their names not only in the local paper but also on the internet where millions could ‘tut tut’ in their general direction.

Nobody is saying that theses citizens shouldn’t have indulged in looking to the respective website for some sexual attention, but was their ‘crime’ really worth the months of police work that was required?

Each of the 7 is probably counting the costs of their folly and more than a few marriages and families are probably ruined as a result of the fantastic police work.

This is just one example of how legalising the escort industry would make the world a far safer place. Can you imagine the crimes that have been going on in downtown Milford whilst the clever police were waiting at their respective PCs waiting for the hapless men to be lured into their digital honey trap?
